Weekly Cyber Security Activity — January 27th, 2019

We’re keeping this week short and sweet with the perfect Austin weather. With the first big 2019 Texas win, Ontic Security raised $4.6M to open the flood gates of growth along with some very happy OSU students.

Cybersecurity Financing Activity

• Ontic Security, which provides potential threat information to security officials, raised $4.65M in Seed funding led by Silverton Partners with participation from Flood gate and Village Global.
• DAtAnchor, which embeds cryptosecurity into data and tracks who has access with the ability to revoke rights at any time, raised an undisclosed amount led by Ohio Innovation Fund — Follow Here

Cybersecurity M&A Activity

• Unbotify, which provides a services that detects malicious bots, was acquired by Adjust, which unifies all a companies marketing activities into a single pane of glass. The details of the deal were not disclosed at this time.
• SLAIT Consulting, an MSP that provides services in the cyber vertical, was acquired by ePlus for an undisclosed amount.
